For several years I’ve been keeping a wee book with the highlights of each month. Looking through my book at the end of the year is one of my favourite things to do and has become a lovely wee ritual. I started making these books last year and they were so popular that I’ve decided to offer them as a workshop where you can make your own!

During this evening workshop, we’ll learn:
How to prepare your printed pages into a section
Creating a hardcover case using bookcloth
Foil blocking the title onto your cover
Sewing the pages and cover together using an exposed spine method
Handling specialist bookcloth and hand marbled apper

as well as lots of tips and tricks of the trade along the way.

The cost includes all professional tools and materials, and an abundance of carefully selected bookcloths and hand marbled papers. Everyone will leave with one unique book. The pages have be pre-designed by me and printed onto high quality archival paper, meaning your memories will be kept safe for years to come.

Suitable for beginners who are new to bookbinding, as well as makers with some experience.

We’ll have refreshments to keep us going throughout the evening. The studio is a short train ride from Glasgow Central, and has free on street parking.
